Mr. Niokhor Ndour is an agronomist by training, with a Master in water resources management and a Master in project management. He works as the Secretary General of the Senegal Basin Development Organisation (OMVS). He was previously Director of Water Resources Management and Planning of Senegal Ministry of Water and Sanitation, for which he coordinated the implementation of the IWRM Action Plan. He was also for two years the president of the technical advisory committee (TAC) of AMCOW (Council of African Ministers of Water) and the chair of the technical committee of IWRM experts of ECOWAS. He represents the Water Ministry at the level of transboundary river basin organizations, the OMVS and OMVG, as well as Member of the Board of Directors of the Office of Lake Guiers and the Office of Sanitation. Further, he was as the first Coordinator of the Pôle Eau Dakar, a new organisation specialised in hydrodiplomacy working at regional level.
