Nirina Kiplagat Nirina Kiplagat has over 20 years of development experience engaged in various development contexts in the fields of peacebuilding, conflict prevention and governance. She is currently the Governance and Peacebuilding Coordinator at UNDP’s Regional Service Centre for Africa. Prior to this she was the Regional Peacebuilding Advisor. Nirina previously worked in UNDP Tanzania, UNDP’s Bureau of Policy and Programme Support (BPPS), the Bureau of Crisis Prevention and Recovery (BCPR) and UNDP Kenya. Before joining UNDP Nirina worked in several internationally and regionally renowned organizations specializing in the field of conflict analysis, prevention and peacebuilding, including The Carter Center, Project Ploughshares, Nairobi Peace Initiative-Africa and the Fellowship of Christian Councils and Churches in the Great Lakes and the Horn of Africa (FECCLAHA). Nirina holds a Master of Science Degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution with a concentration in Peace Studies. She has published several articles on thematic issues related to conflict transformation and peacebuilding.
