Rachel Olpengs is a seasoned digital literacy and public policy specialist with extensive experience in applied research, stakeholder engagement, capacity building and institutional strengthening initiatives. She has collaborated with national and international stakeholders to influence policy processes, facilitate dialogue, and strengthen capacities. Her work spans digital literacy, digital safety, digital rights and digital governance. Rachel currently serves as the Lead Coordinator for the National Coalition on Freedom of Expression and Content Moderation in Kenya (FECoMo) – a multistakeholder network consisting of diverse entities including national regulators, INGOs, CSOs and academia that work at the intersection of digital rights, digital peacebuilding and technology governance. Her work is rooted in participatory approaches embedding equity and inclusivity in convening diverse actors.
