Yasmine Abdelbagi is a Sudanese community development and humanitarian actor, Project Manager,
and MEAL Specialist at Future Generations Organization (FGO), and the founder of Communities
Thrive Organization (CTO), a refugee-women-led organization working to strengthen vulnerable
communities through locally led solutions.
Originally from Sudan and currently a refugee in Uganda, Yasmine has experience working with
communities affected by displacement and crisis across Sudan and Uganda. Her work focuses on
empowering the leadership and participation of women and young people, supporting community-
driven initiatives, and building the capacity of local organizations to respond to community needs.
She holds a BSc in Computer Science, with professional experience in MEAL, project management,
accountability, protection, and community-based programming. She is particularly passionate about
ensuring that women, youth, and affected communities are not only beneficiaries, but active leaders in
shaping solutions that affect their lives.
